Here we have two delightful looking and quite weighty sterling silver lidded pots from India.

Rather unusually they are styled as TABLA drums.

The tabla is a South Asian membranophone percussion instrument (similar to bongos), consisting of a pair of drums, used in traditional, classical, popular and folk music. It has been a particularly important instrument in Hindustani classical music since the 18th century, and remains in use in India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.

The tabla consists of two single headed, barrel shaped small drums of slightly different size and shapes: daya also called dahina meaning right, and baya also called bahina meaning left.

These drum shaped pots have both been successfully tested as sterling silver and in additionboth are stamped .925 on the underside. The larger one measures just over 3\" tall and is about 3.25\" in diameter. The smaller pot stands just over 3\" tall and it is approximately 2.25\" in diameter.

A good gaugeof silver, when placed both together on the scales their combined weight is 15.17 imperial ounces which equates to 13.82 troy ounces or 430 grams.

There are thetypical light / faint scuffs and scratches that all silver objects tend to attract over the years plus the larger drum lid has a few small edge ripples on one side (pictured and indicated). That said there isnothing really nasty or serious to report and there are no particular deep dents orbad misshapesto highlight anywhere as far as I can tell.

No doubt a good polish will further restore former glory.
