A Good and Interesting Heavy Victorian Sterling Silver Teapot in the naturalistic style. Made in London, in 1851, byStorr Mortimer Hunt. This Teapot is of Rounded almost melon Form. Decorated Heavy Finial to the shaped and domed Flush Hinged Cover with an acorn full and an acorn cup empty (this has classical significance but can\'t remember it). Ribbed vertical decoration giving the pot slightly melon form. The wonderful (wood form) sterling silver with original insulators, rounded handle with a heavy Acanthus leaf thumb piece, with two charming and unusual oak leaves as a flourish. Of Very Good Weight upon four decorative feet. This Teapot is Uncrested. An interesting pleasure. Highly decorated spout cast as wood (in silver) decorated with entwined oak leaves of great charm. Engraved decoration is rubbed but still with great charm. Heavy feet highly decorated with oak leaves and acorns in very good order and of great charm and interest. The whole pot is most enchanting back to nature feel of great quality and interest.
