Background

Christmas market. It was released without the band\'s input, and featured a larger-than-life imageof Morrison, which upset him enough to threaten signing with another labelafter their contractual obligations were met. With one more album entailed inthe Doors\' contract, the band could do little to protest, but continuerehearsing their material.[11]

Live performances

Release

I\'m glad thatL.A.Womanwas our last album ... It really captured what we were allabout. The first record did, too, butL.A. Womanis moreloose, it\'s live – it sounds almost like a rehearsal. It\'s pure Doors.
