Approx. 13\" x 10 1/3\" with an image size of 7 1/4\" x 9 1/2\" . Photo #6: Signed \"Dali\" and blocked Signature, also---like a Seal---Both, On the plate! In bottom, right corner is \"E. A.\" (Epreuve Artiste) or Artist\'s Proof. Colored, \"wood engraving\", titled \"Bertrand De Horn\", from a set of several sets---some black & white or a different size; some on Japon or watermarked BFK Rives paper, deckled on the bottom edge (as This one is) or silk; some unsigned and others signed only in the plate--- made with Dali\'s approval and under his guidance. These wood engravings were made from Dali\'s original watercolors, commissioned for Dante\'s, The Divine Comedy, divided into 3 sections: Heaven/Paradise/Paradisio, Purgatory/Purgatorio, and Hell/Inferno; THIS image is from the latter and one of the more popular images from the Suite; the more Popular images command higher prices. At the time of this listing, my offering was the least expensive for THIS image! Photo #1: complete image. #2: closeup of upper, left corner, showing the segmented kneecap and the nose of the severed head. #3: closeup of mid-section, showing segmented right leg, lower arm and buttocks, Plus a pair of women, composed of only red lines, in the lower background. #4: closeup of right side, showing bodice with severed neck, upper right arm and left nipple. Numbers 3 and 4, also, markedly depict developing Decay. #5: Condition: Excellent! Still as originally purchased with 3 strips of tape, rolled back against itself, forming a loop, then pressed against a larger black piece of mounting paper.
