A very nice biography of Abraham Lincoln from 1860 before he became the 16th President of The United States. It takes you from his early childhood to his career as a lawyer and then up to the point where he is running for president. It also reserves a spot in the last chapter for his running mate Hannibal Hamlin of Maine who would be the next Vice-President of The United States. Copies of this scarce title are becoming hard to find especially in good condition. This copy rates very good to near fine. The binding is solid and tight with strong hinges and the inner text is bright and clean without underlining or notation. The only foxing is found near the title page and frontispiece which is to be expected from a book this age. This is perhaps one of the nicer copies of this title that you will encounter.
