This 144-page 10 ⅝” x 11 ⅝” gilt-stamped-on-spine hardbound book with black cloth spine and boards, with gold cloth over black on front with pictorial illustration and gold lettering, is in very good condition. There is minor wear to right-hand bottom front board. As published, there is no dust jacket. Internally, despite the passage of 48 years, pages are bright, clean and unmarked; binding is tight. Hinges are solid, and book is square.

PROFUSELY ILLUSTRATED with brown end papers, and a double-page frontispiece; a color reproduction of the Tabernacle and its court. Volume contains vibrant, full color tipped-in reproductions and black and white of photographs, of the highest quality, illustrating each intricate piece of the Tabernacle created by Levine.

Moshe Levine, a descendant of the Hassidic dynasty of Alexander, spent his whole life creating a model of the Tabernacle as described in Exodus. The book shows each step in its creation, paired with each line of scripture describing the Tabernacle\'s respective parts. The Tabernacle, known in Hebrew as the Mishkan and first constructed over 3,000 years ago, served the Israelites as a sanctuary from the time of their sojourn in the desert until the completion of the First Temple by King Solomon. Volume presents the structure, furnishings, and utensils of the Tabernacle, as the Bible describes them, in a painstakingly constructed original scale model created by Moshe Levine, a rare craftsman of modern Israel. The 30 full-color plates and 40 black-and-white photographs are faithful reproductions of this incredible work.
