I am selling this gorgeous, large, 17\" mirror for a friend, April. She comes from a prominent San Diego family. Her grandfather ran the Republican Party here for a while, and was well known for his work in Japan during the Occupation. This mirror has been in my friend\'s family for generations. It is hallmarked Tiffany & Co 17395 A Makers 7791 Sterling Silver 925-1000.April is reluctantly selling it because of her mother\'s prolonged illness and the medical bills associated with it.April took the piece to Leo Hamil Jewelers who verified it was Tiffany and told her that the wholesale price for it would be around $500, that it would sell for $3000 to $4000 in a shop, and would probably sell for $1350 to $1500 on , although I saw one just like it listed for $2300 about a month ago. Condition: This mirror is in outstanding antique condition. It was made to either hang on the wall or use its wooden stand on a vanity table. The stand to make needs two tiny nails to reattach it. There is also a verysmall dent on the side which does not show from the front. It could be removed but really is not significant in an antique piece like this.This would make a stunning Christmas, wedding or anniversary present or would look fabulous on your wall. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a genuine and sizeable Tiffany sterling piece, not something small that will get lost in your home, but a real statement piece that will leave your friends green with envy.
