At sale are two checks written in 1852 on the Bank of Troy (also called The Troy City Bank) signed by Titus Eddy (of the early Troy family the Eddys). One check is to N. Taylor and the other is to T. Eddy Jr. There are no revenue stamps.
Titus Eddy and family made the secret ink that was used to print all American paper currency during the 19th century and continued making it up to WW I. Their home was called Glenwood. This historic mansion is on the National Register of Historic Places.
