Slowly, but surely, I am selling off my \"things shaped like a champagne bottle\" collection that I started back in 1980. These are two sterling silver pepper pot or shakers or pepperettes. The \"cork\" unscrew to fill. The Pommery Brut measures 2 3/4\" and is hallmarked Birmingham 1908. The taller one measures 3.5\" and is the only one I had in my collection that was not branded a champagne house. It simply states \"Dry Extra Quality\" on the one side and on the other initials are engraved which include an M, S and I believe and I. The bottom is engraved \"Sterling\" in block letters - not English hallmarks - and what looks like \"190\". So this would have been made outside of England. Both have dents on the bottom but are still totally usable (tops work perfectly) and honestly the picture makes them out worse than they are (thank you phone camera) and are mostly on the back as you can see from the front facing photos. Still two wonderful pieces for a pepper pot or shaker collection or champagne bottle collection! Thanks for looking.
