These are authentic early 19th century hand sewn paste board wallpaper boxes dating to the mid 1800s. The larger box is lined with newsprint that has a date of 1846. The smaller box measures: 4\" x 3\"x 2-1/8\". The larger box measures: 5-1/2\" x 4-1/2\" x 2-1/2\". The larger box has a repair that is hard to see but it looks like it was torn and has been re-glued. This is shown in the last picture. The small box is perfect and has a Frank Dingley; Farmington Maine provenance. Please look at all of the pictures for the overall condition. Guaranteed early and authentic!
