Featuring two (2) rare vintage DeSimone Picasso mid-century modern pottery plates.

Hand painted in Italy. Signed. Each measures about 10\" diameter and about 1 1/8\" deep.

Mid-century modern.The flower plate shows some small chips and flaking on theedge(see pics).

The sun face plate has a hairline about 4 1/2\" long extending from the center to the edge and a glaze flake on the edge (see pic).

There are some imperfections in glazing which is acharacteristic of this pottery.

Rich colorful glazes create whimsical pieces of art.Gloss finish.

Marked with handwritten signature under glaze on the underside, \" DESIMONE ITALY 21\".

Giovanni DeSimone was a mid-century artist, writer, close friend and student of Pablo Picasso. Picasso\'s influence is clearly seen.
