Here for your consideration are two vintage brass matchbox holders made in Germany. One matchbox holder features a Schnauzer on top of a black enamel base and border. The other features a marble textured enamel work framed within black enamel (loses to black enamel border). Both have the same box dimension of 2.5 inches by 1 5/8 inches by 7/8 inches in height. Schnauzer box height including the dog is 1 7/8 inches in height. Both are marked Germany on the back. Both pieces have wear consistent with use.
