U.S. FDC #4703 USS CONSTITUTION AND WAR OF 1812. A great looking painting of the U.S.S. Constitution by Michele Felice Corne. And this is on a wonderful AMERICAN FIRST DAY COVER SOCIETY - GRAEBNER CACHET, in excellent condition. The cachet shows a colorful battle scene with the ship, a portrait of Captain Isaac Hull, and a soldier. There is also considerable descriptive text. This stamp is part of the multi-year War of 1812 series of stamps. See the others I have posted. See the great scan!

The postmark is BOSTON, MA, AUG 16, 2012. Only one bar of the cancellation touches the stamp so this is a great looking FDC. And you just might get it here at my usual low starting offer!
