A fabulous antique English, solid 22 carat gold (tests thereabouts) 17th century posy ring.It has a D-shaped band andan unusuallylong, rhymingdedication engraved toits inner, on two lines. I\'ve never seen one like this before. It reads \'Gods Decree By This Is None / For Hee Hath Made Two Harts One\' in hand engraved fancy script.It bears the maker\'s mark RCand isinvery good, fully wearablecondition throughout, with no loss or damage but a few areas of wear, scratches etc in line with its age. It weighs3.3grams, its band is 4 mm wide and its ring size is an extremely wearable 10 ¼ US / U ½ UK - reasonably easily resized one or two sizes either way if needed. The final photo shows it with a US penny (1 cent) coinfor scale, which measures19mm/ ¾ of an inchdiameter.
