UNUSUAL CAST STERLING SILVER DEVIL PIERCED SPOON 1895 ENGLISH VICTORIAN ANTIQUE:

A beautiful Victorian sterlingsilver pierced spoon. It is hallmarked for Sheffield 1895 with the makers mark beingJD&S for James Dixon & Sons Ltd. It has been beautifully designed being finely cast and with a horned man - possibly the devil? It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and distortions - there is a small old repairs to the reverse near the hallmarks but not visible at the front. It measures 5.25 inches (13.2cms) long by 2.5 inches (5.6cms) wide andweighs 23 grams. A very unusual piece.
