UP FOR sale IS A LOVELY 13.5 inch SINGLE LUSTRE (or Luster), VICTORIAN MANTLE OR TABLE DECORATION, WITH AN UNUSUAL SPLIT, ROLLED AND RUFFLED RIM. It is made of milky white glass with a pink rim.
The luster body is in excellent shape with no chips or cracks. There is no maker\'s mark; there is a rough pontil on the bottom from its manufacture.
The lustre is 13.5 inches tall (34.29 cm) and the base is 5.5 inches in diameter (13.97 cm). Measuring the diameter of the top is difficult because of the design.
This lustre has some gold paint missing (see photos) but the rest of the floral decoration is enamel and is in excellent condition.
The inside is clean, except for the very bottom, which I couldn\'t reach for cleaning without removing the prisms.
One cut glass crystal prism is missing the bottom half; the rest are intact (8 prisms in all, approx. 6.5 inches (16.51 cm) long including the round top piece and the drop, except for the broken one. The prisms have some chips, most are tiny but one is fairly large (see photos). Most of the prisms have chipped tips. The chips are not immediately evident due to the cut glass nature of the prisms, except for the broken one. These prisms may be found online, in a very similar style.
