UNUSUAL VINTAGE C. 1890-1915 AMERICAN ART POTTERYTILE 6” SQ. HANDPAINTED SCENE: DAPPLEDFOREST PATH w. 2 HORSE WAGON with large wheels, driver who seems to bestanding, somewhat pyramidal house with one glowing fire-red window in thebackground through trees. Very wellpainted and evocative. Remains of amonogram (painted in black) on one side edge, first initial “A”. Nodefects. No maker’s mark. Bought by the pottery collector here manyyears ago as part of a small collection of American Art Pottery tiles of theturn-of-the-century Arts & Crafts era.
