On April 19, 1930,
the USPS issued what has now become the world famous
\"Graf Zeppelin Issue\".Offered from a private collection for the serious and discerning collector:a superb set of all three stamps including the
65c green Zeppelin over Atlantic Ocean,
$1.30 brown Zeppelin between Continents,
and $2.60 blue Zeppelin passing Globe.They are commonly referred to as the
\"Zeps\".They were issued for use on mail carried
on the first Europe-Pan-American round-trip flight of Graf Zeppelin,
May, 1930.Scarce stamps such as these in this condition are seldom offered for sale,
and are becoming much harder to obtain.As you can plainly see for yourself from the photos below,
this set has rich color, original gum, is very nicely centered, and has never been hinged.Simply stated:
superb stamps of this highest quality should grade out in the upper ranges.The statement above about grade is strictly my opinion,
but it is very evident that these are some of the finest examples of early U.S. Airmail stamps.Please judge the stamps condition yourself based on the many pictures provided below.As the years pass by,
most of the rare Zeppelins in this choice condition
are being tucked away in serious philatelist\'s collections.They would not only make a wise investment,
but a very desirable and historical set to be passed on from generation to generation.
