The high performance fighter planes of late WW2 exceeded the physical limits of the pilots, as men would black out from the tremendous G forces exerted during high speed maneuvers. As a result, the AAF developed and issued a limited number of anti-gravity \"G-pants\" that would pump air around the legs to force blood back into the pilot\'s torso and brain. This pair of US Army AAF WW2 P-51 MUSTANG FIGHTER PILOT G-3A ANTI-GRAVITY FLIGHT G-PANTS are in very good condition, with some dark soiling and two spots of whitish soiling at the front right thigh, some greenish discoloration at the upper front waist, some scattered patina to the brass zippers and tracks, some cracking to the rubber hose/nozzle join cover at the left waist, and with some scattered age wear evident (most pictured). Otherwise, the G-pants are in fine shape, with absolutely no rips, holes, tears, or other damage to the lightweight yet tough OD nylon construction. Most interestingly, they carry \"winged star\" outline stampings of the \"ARMY AIR FORCES\" at the middle back and interior front waist, boast fully functional \"TALON\" brass zippers and fully intact OD cotton laces throughout, and carry the original \"SUIT-PNEUMATIC ANTI \"G\" / PROPERTY U.S. ARMY AIR FORCES / TYPE G3A\" nomenclature tag inside. They are a Size Large Short, complete with the original OD nylon covered air hose at the left waist, and are a fine example of very rare, original US Army AAF WW2 P-51 MUSTANG FIGHTER PILOT G-3A ANTI-GRAVITY FLIGHT G-PANTS.
