The US Army adopted the short lived Colt M-1909 .45 revolver after the .38 failed to stop charging Moro warriors in the Philippines. A specially designed ammo belt was produced for the M-1909, featuring 4 rimless \"eagle snap\" pockets at the left front. Most of these scarce belts were unmarked, though believed to be made by Russell, while only a few surviving examples are stamped to the legendary Mills Woven Cartridge Belt Co. of Worcester, Mass. This US Army Pre-WW1 MILLS RIMLESS EAGLE SNAP PEA GREEN M-1910 .45 REVOLVER AMMO BELT is in good condition, with a frayed tear to the upper left corner of the front pouch, an illegible marking hand applied in black at the interior left front, a small spot of hardened whitish soiling at the lower left back, and with some scattered dark soiling and age wear evident (ALL pictured). Otherwise, the belt is in fine shape, with no other damage to the tough pea green canvas construction. Most interestingly, it boasts 4 fully functional darkened brass rimless \"eagle snap\" closure pockets at the left front, sports a fully intact darkened brass large \"T\" front buckle, and is stamped on the single interior darkened brass sizing end with its maker, the legendary \"MILLS WOVEN CARTRIDGE BELT CO. / WORCESTER MASS USA\".
