Upfor grabs is a USGI 3 pc M1 Garand walnut stock set. The set includesoriginal metal, including the stock ferrule and buttplate. OriginalUS GI “Defense Stamp” DAS Cartouche left side of stock, Circle“P” Proof forward of wrist, and Rack Number below wrist. Anothernumber “90” painted long ago right buttstock. No arsenal rebuildstamps. A wood chip gouge inside the trigger housing area (seepictures) will be covered by installed trigger housing assembly (notincluded) and does not affect trigger housing lockup. Trigger housingdraw and lockup is tight, I have taken this stock to the practicerange in past years; a “worker” stock as well as a good lookingstock. No receiver overhang wood there comes about flush even withreceiver. Many pictures are posted for a good look at everything. Ifyou like the pictures then buyer will be pleased with this set, workswell at the practice range too. Please review the pictures for exactcondition which I would call good to near very good throughout withtypical handling dings in the wood and some patina on the metalparts. Some rust scale on the rear handguard top ring. The 3 wood pieces match up fairly well in color the forwardhandguard being a bit darker. This is a solid “working” tightlockup stock set, a nice piece of American history. Finish isoriginal as far as I know. Stock set will be packed well for safestshipping.
