Totally gorgeous ultra high-end vintage larger size SOLID 9K GOLD Tudor Royal (by Rolex) watch (fully hallmarked and serial number dated to 1956) . I have have had this confirmed by a local jeweller using a very high powered magnifier as the hallmarks are very, very small. (Because I did not check up on the hallmarks myself I can only confirm the hallmarks ARE there and it\'s signed for 9CT solid gold, the hallmarks are for solid 9ct gold, Birmingham and the letter date \'G\') the date was given to me, I have looked up the serial number and the date letter and they tie in to 1956. If you want to check for your self I\'m perfectly happy to supply a picture of the inside of the case (I did try but the hallmarks and serial number are very small).
Classically styled older vintage solid gold Tudor Royal (by Rolex) larger size mens watch (much larger than the \'cushion\' type watch, this watch measures approx. 34mm across inc.crown and 38mm lug-lug, that would be a \'mid-size\' today but in 1956 it was large! Please note, the WHOLE watch is solid gold, NOT PLATED. The watch case snaps shut securely, fitting perfectly and still very,very crisp in operation, The watch crystal and dial does show some very minor natural \'patina\' of age as you would expect but for an older watch it is absolutely perfectlyusable, in my opinion the genuine patina only adds to the glorious overall appearance.
This would make aphenomenalpresent forsomeone as the quality and finish of this example really is superb, it also comes fully supplied with a genuine Rolex wood/red leather interior presentation/display box with protective cushion and the full Rolex printed outer card box, the boxes do have minimal signs of wear as they have been used, (all signed Rolex and 100% genuine).
Rolex (the makers of Tudor Royal) are obviously a very,very high end Swiss watch manufacturer, this is a superb example.
*** PLEASE NOTE***This watch is from the time when Rolex sold some watches under the name \'Tudor\' and the Tudor Royal brand was a genuinely extremely high end Swiss watch manufacturer at the time this watch was made. Rolex and Tudor with theirmovements have won numerous Swisswatch awards for quality and reliability, these are still today some of the most highly prized and soughtaftercollectable models within the Swiss watch collecting circles, (most would argue that they may even be better than the later \'volume\' movements that they have used in later watches, in my opinion I would suggest that the vintage ones like this are far superior to the modern offerings).
This example has a fantastic overall appearance, looking virtually pristine (for an older vintage used watch) and comes supplied in a fabulous high quality Rolex vintage storage/transport box, EVERYTHING about this watch just oozes quality,refinement and elegance. As a genuine almost 60 year old watch it is, in my opinion utterly superb, it isgorgeousand running flawlessly as youwould expect from one of the most highly respected Swiss watch manufacturers in the world.
