Example With Shipping Special -You bought 4 items. Each item was $1 plus $3.50 shipping. With the shipping special, you paid $4 for the items and $3.75 shipping, which came out to $7.75.
Example - The Math -You bought 4 items for $1. $1 + $1 + $1 + $1 = $4 Each item had a shipping charge of $3.50. The shipping special took $3.50 away from 3 of the items, but it added a shipping charge of 25 cents to one of the items. $3.50 + $0 + $0 + $0.25 = $3.75 Add the total cost of the items ($4) plus the total cost for shipping ($3.75), and you get a total of $7.75 $4 + $3.75 = $7.75
