An unusual Art Nouveau era page turner or letteropener that is made by the famous Unger Brothers, American silversmiths. The handle features the high relief image ofa beautiful maiden’s head that hovers above lily pads, and also with oceanwaves and sea birds on the opposite side – a very artistic composition. The rounded end blade is made of celluloid,and has a few blemishes and some roughness to the tip - the total length is 8\". The sterling handle portion measures 3” long,a little under 1” wide and is in excellent condition. It is stamped with a co-joined “U” and “B,”and also “Sterling 925 Fine.” Circa 1900to 1915.
