Unger Brothers 5 Chain Chatelaine with Unger PiecesThis is a wonderful complete sterling silver Unger Brothers chatelaine with five pieces, all Unger Brothers as well. The chatelaine clip depicts a a monster face with ruby red eyes (glass?) and has the \"U\" on top of a \"B\" Unger Brothers logo mark that has the words \"STERLING 925 FINE\" encircling the \"UB\" mark. The chatelaine clip has a hook on it\'s underside that the smaller of the hollow rings clips onto. The chatelaine is circa 1900 - 1910.Hanging from the chatelaine clip is the smaller hollow round ring that is soldered to a second round hollow ring. The second larger ring is also marked with the \"U\" on top of the \"B\" Unger Brothers logo and the word \"STERLING\". The larger hollow ring also has five chains soldered onto it that have watch fob style clips that then hold the chatelaine pieces that are all marked with the Unger Brothers logo.All five of the chatelaine pieces, the dance card with faux ivory pages, the needle case, the needle sharping emery (in the shape of a strawberry.), the pierced thimble case and the engraved top sweetmeat box, are also sterling silver and marked with the \"UB\" Unger Brothers logo. The needle sharping \"strawberry\" emery is made of fabric with a sterling top. Being used and over 100 years old, the fabric does show it\'s age, the silver top is okay.The length from the top of the chatelaine clip to the end of the longest chain with the chatelaine piece on it is approximately thirteen inches.
