1930-40s Vintage His & Hers Shower Linen Guest Towels Deco Naughty but NiceFabulous 1930-40s guest towel set that must have been an engagement or wedding “shower” gift! Natural colored linen has green, blue and salmon pink deco scroll border that frames a risque bath scene with \"him\" and \"her\" clad au natural ready for the shower. Each are carrying the appropriate towel and back brush that covers the naughty bits. Scattered amidst the water drops are all the proper bathing needs such as soap, perfume, powder puff, toothbrush, comb etc.!
The impish couple reminds us of a grown up Dick and Jane from the original reading primer books or perhaps the Campbell’s soap kids!! So cute! What a great addition to your collection, retro deco bath or fun gift for the newly betrothed!
The towels feel crisp, unused and unwashed. There are faint fold lines from storage on both across the middle and “his” has a few lines along the sides about 3 1/2”-4 1/2” in from the edge. “Hers” appears to have fainter lines. These storage marks may well wash out with a soak in today’s less harsh laundry products, but we leave that to the new owner.
