This is a vintage dog tag necklace that belonged to a Studio Tour guide at Universal Studios Hollywood. It is made of metal with embedded black cloisonné enamel on one side. This tag measures 2¼\" tall by 1¼\" across. There is a simple ball lock chain that measures approximately 24\" long. It will fit over the head of most adults without opening the chain.

The dog tag reads:

#1 IN SERVICE STUDIO TOUR SEPTEMBER & OCTOBER 2000

This refers to a competition between the attractions at Universal Studios Hollywood theme park. Each month, surveys were given randomly to guests as they exited the park. They were asked to rate the attractions and comment on the employees. Whichever attraction received the most positive guest comments that month would receive a prize. When the Studio Tour won two months in a row, the tour guides were given these dog tag necklaces. These were never available to the public or to other theme park employees. This is a pretty rare item.

CONDITION:

There are a few surface dents and scratches (see photo: to the right of \"1\" and above the image of the tram and above the \"#\" symbol). There is a small nick on the side edge (see photo: right of \"OCTOBER\"). The chain is in perfect condition.

Since the sale photo is much larger than the actual dog tag, minor flaws appear worse here than they do on the item.
