Unusual Antique Doulton Lambeth mug 1884:

I have for sale an attractive and unusual stoneware mug madeby Doulton & Co of Lambeth in 1884. The mug measures 9 cms (3.6inches) inheight, has a base diameter of 7 cms and a top rim diameter of 6.2 cms. The mug is made of brown stoneware with raisedarts and crafts type surface decoration painted in pale greens and white givinga very attractive effect.

Onthe base is the incised mark DOULTON LIMITED LAMBETH in an oval cartouche with theyear date 1884, the initials AS and an incised cross together with some other incisedcharacters.

Themug is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or restoration.
