Unusual Folding Antique Binocular 3D Stereoscope Stereo Viewer Stereopticon -NR
Have you seen one like this lately? It\'s a fully-functional stereoscope / viewer that folds flat for compact storage. It may be an early version sans hood. Made of mahogany, it holds the stereoview cards securely, adjusts completely, and presents a good 3D image. There are things we don\'t understand about its construction, but it works great. It has been in this condition since Dick\'s grandparents showed it to him in the 1940\'s. It still does a a good job of presenting stereo pictures taken over 120 years ago or so. Also included are its very own hand-made storage bag and the Mt Pisgah \"Switchback\" tourist train of 1898 near Mauch Chunk, PA (ca 1898 B. L. Lingley) shown in the pictures.
