DESCRIPTION:

This listing is for a navajo silver cuff that is quite unusual. This bracelet is crafted of solid sterling silver and features what appears to be 5 bezel set cabochons of vivid blue turquoise, but when you look at it close up, the bezels contain tiny chips of blue stone that may be turquoise or perhaps amazonite... it is difficult to tell even with magnification. The little chips are suspended in acrylic, which gives the appearance of glass. There are no hallmarks, but the silver has been tested for sterling. I have only seen one other piece like this, and it was a sterling navajo watch band with a gold eagle suspended in the acrylic. This is definitely a vintage piece, and because it has the acrylic inlay, I believe it may date to the 1950\'s or later.

MEASUREMENTS:

Bracelet has a diameter of 2 1/4\" across the long side and a circumference of 6 1/2\" including the gap which measures 1\" Weighs 13.7 grams.

CONDITION:

Very good overall condition. There are surface scratches to the surface of the silver and very faint scratches to the acrylic cabochons that can only be seen with magnification.+

I have built a nice collection of little treasures that consists of old pieces of jade, loose cameos and faceted stones, antique and vintage beads, carved coral and turquoise just to name a few. When I have extra time, I like to design new pieces of jewelry using these unique and older findings and put them up for sale for buyers that would like a piece of custom jewelry. The inspiration for my designs comes from all the wonderful pieces of hand-crafted jewelry that have been produced from as early as the Georgian period. Designing offers me an artistic outlet, and all of my pieces are handmade. I do all the fabrication, soldering and stone setting, and most of my pieces are \"one of a kind.\" I work mostly with sterling silver and karat gold, but will occasionally work with gold filled metal. With each piece, I will include a note describing what the piece is composed of and any history or background when possible.
