Very unusual, old Russian Burl Wood Cigarette box - circa 1950.
Expertly built with a hinged latch - opens to reveal 4 compartments for cigarettes and one for matches, also with a hinged lid - marked \'MADE IN THE SOVIET UNION\'
Bears a gold monogram \'MM\' each letter of 18K gold, each hallmarked with French eagle-head mark and a maker\'s mark \'AG\'
Superb work quality, very precise - very appealing.Excellent condition - a few small cracks that dose not go throughclosed - please view pictures.
It measures closed 12 x 8.5 x 4.2 cm tall - when fully open it is 43!! cm long.
