Postally UsedUnion Civil War PeriodPatriotic Cover with USA #65 tied to the cover by the Washington DC double ring postmark dated 3 DEC. The design is a standing George Washington in uniform in blue. Addressed to Miss Jennie Andrews, Knowlesville, Orleans Co., NY. The cover likely sent by a Union soldier back home to a sister or a girl friend. The cover is complete and Very Fine. There is no enclosure.

I recently acquired a large collection of unused Union patriotic covers from the Civil War period with different George Washington relateddesigns and will be offering the collection in various lots until the collection is sold.
