For sale today is an antique VARICK INFRA-RED LAMP. It has avery heavy Cast Iron base with some very nice patina on it. This Lampisflexible and adjustable to focus where you want the light to shine. I am pretty sure that it isall original.The vintage ceramic bulb socket is a standard size and thus will accept any normal incandescent or compact flourescent style bulb, even the newest energy saving curly-q type bulb will work. How cool would that look!

This antique Lamp was made in New York, U.S.A. I t has a very IndustrialEra Warehouse look and feel look to it. The Lamp measures about 18 inches tall, the reflector shade is a little over 8 inches in diameter, and I think that it might be made from Aluminum.A nice lookingCast Iron Table or Desk Lamp. Stamped on the back of the Lamp Reflector Shade are these words:

It\'s old! It\'s COOL!

The color is awesome. Because the base is made out of Cast Iron,.... it is very heavy on the bottom so it won\'t easily tip over. (Shipping cost is higher for that reason!) The Lamp Shade is made out of a light material, maybe aluminum? You could chose to use a Regular Bulb instead of an INFRA-RED bulb.

The power cord is a little frayed and has been taped up, so I chose not to plug it in to test it.
