Up for sale with is a Very Fine quality Victorian Period English Silver Plate 4pc Tea and Coffee Set. The Service is one of the most elegant and pleasing I have sold with great 19th Century form and finely etched Acanthus Leaves throughout. The Service is fully Hallmarked for the fine Period Silversmiths Hammond, Creake & Co. of Sheffield and would Date c1890. The Service is in excellent all original condition with some light wear throughout but no dents, cracks or holes. The Service is also a nice large size for modern use and displays beautifully with the Coffee Pot measuring 9-1/4\" tall by 10-3/8\" long, the Teapot measuring 6-1/2\" tall by 10-1/4\" long, the Cream Jug standing 4-1/2\" tall at the spout and the Sugar Bowl measuring 7-1/8\" wide across the handles. We are also listing the matching Tipping Tea Kettle in another of our sales, we decided to split the set because they are by 2 different makers and figuring many people may only want the service or the Kettle but not both, though I would be happy to combine shipping if someone does win both sales. TheTipping KettleandTray shown in the last photoare obviouslynot included butare being sold inour other sales.
