This listing is for a Japanese silver teapot most likely dating to the early 20th century. The pot is made in globular form having a hand hammered design that continues throughout the cover. It is made of solid silver and would test to at least .925 and possibly .950. It has a large loop handle and is signed on the underside. The pot measures 7.25 inches across including spout and weighs 675 grams. Condition of the pot is very good with only a slightunevenness to the edge of the spout and a very shallow dent just above the foot which is very difficult to notice.(#6888)
