VERY FINE ART DECO BAKELITE NECKLACE - (TA10112214C)

I just attended the fourth (and last) estate sale of high end jewelry from the antique shop \"This n\' That\" owned by Anita Stern. If you Google Anita you will see her long history and understand the scope and rarity of the items in her shop. Her store and jewelry have been featured in magazines, movies and runway shows for decades. This piece is one of her treasures and one of many that I was fortunate enough to purchase. This sale produced well over 1000 pieces of vintage and antique jewelry that I will be listing as quickly as possible for wearing and gifting this season!

@ 34\" overall length with a 9\" pendant drop. The beads are hand knotted, big and chunky. Most of the beads are @ 5/8\" and the two darker brown focal beads framing the tassel are @ 7/8\". The color is exceptional with warm glowing amber tones to brown on the beads and marbled medium brown on the pendant. The black tassel has a Chinoiserie feel to it. There is a working gold plated lobster claw clasp and additional gold metal findings at the tassel. Weight is @ 240 grams.This is an exceptional piece of vintage costume jewelry with an equally impressive provenance coming out of Anita\'s shop. Excellent condition.
