This is a salefor a 100% ORIGINAL 1948 DETROIT TIGERS Green Felt FULL-SIZE Baseball Pennant.

According to the Pennant Price Guide II, this is a VERY RARE full-size pennant (see pix) with a value range of $225-350. I\'ve found for the more rare pennants the guide is actually well under-valuing pennants. What I love about this pennant is it lists the all-time Tiger greats like George Kell, Hal Newhouser, Virgil Trucks, etc. This pennant lists some of the same players that won the 1945 World Series.

The pennant approx. measures 11\" x 27.5\" excluding tassels and the arch of the left side edge. The condition is Good+ (in my untrained opinion), there are many a pennants that are in much worse condition. This pennant actually still has two (2) of the original (4) tassels. Even in the pennant guide you can see that they were on the pennant at one time. The white print is surprisingly in great shape for the tiger, the baseball and \"Detroit Tigers,\" but there is more cracking of the print within the scroll. The pennant tip is fairly pointed still too! There is some staining on the upper left white vertical strip just near the top of the scroll. There is also moderate edge wear of the pennant with inlets into the edge of the pennant (e.g. directly under the scroll, or about 3\" from the pennant\'s tip along the top-side edge, etc.). And there is a small hole just under the \"T\" in \"Tigers. It measures approx. 0.25\" long and a 0.0625\" tall; a similar green acid-free mat backing will hide this flaw easily. This pennant is an absolute gem especially given it\'s scarce rarity!!!!
