Description: White, Smith & Company was established as a music publishing company in 1874. Charles A. White was a composer and author of over a thousand songs. He was among the earliest songwriters to establish a successful music publishing company. By 1890, White, Smith had expanded to nine branch offices and become one of the largest music publishing firms in the country. Included in this vintage lot are 19 sonatinas by the Danish composer, Friedrich Kuhlau.
Condition: These vintage books are in overall good condition. The covers show some light wear and tearing at the spine (see pictures). The inside pages are in good condition with no tears, no creases, no dog eared corners, and no loose or missing pages. The staple bindings are solid. Note: there is some wear on the page edges, and pencil writing with dates 1929 and 1930 (see pictures).
