Very rare straight handle non-folding shovel, the rarest of all US WWII E-tools. This was developed as a replacement for the WWI T-handle shovel and was issued to troops who were still using the M-1910 carrier or those who required a shorter shovel like Airborne paratroopers. Shovel is US marked and dated 1945. The manufacturer was EMP Co. It is in good unrestored condition and are hard to find in any condition. Please check my other sales for more militaria.
