This sale is for a VICTORIAN BALL MATCH STRIKER AND HOLDER… Circa early 1900’s ….It measures approx 3” Tall .These were used to hold matches and were struck on the side to light…..some collectors collect these match strikes exclusivley …. It is Unmarked. Some had sterling caps some never did…some were made in ceramic…some were used for advertising….Very cool collectable for Tobacciana Collectors and Victorian Art Glass Collectors alike…There are some very minimal scuffs to the turned threads in a few spots on the striker but not near as many as I usually see on these fragile thread glass strikes..… The bottom is hand-polished. This came from a huge Victorian Grand Estate sale here in Austin tx…There are many pieces I will be listing over then next several months from my own personal Estate Collection..I am downsizing and moving to a small home…I have been collecting for 25 years and have been to many grand Estate Sales … many Rare and Unusual pieces pieces to come!
