SUPERB LARGE VICTORIAN PINK GLASS OIL LAMP FONTThis very decorative oil lamp font stands approximately 15.3cm tall from the base of the undermount to the top of the brass ring.The diameter is approximately 17cm at its widest point.It is in good condition, please see condition report and finished with a brass fitter with an internal screw fixing, the internal diameter is 3.9cm.
The brass undermount has a screw fixing, this font fits on to a 23mm base.In a beautiful shaded pink from a deep cranberry to a pale shell pink, this is decorated with a strongly designed stylised foliate pattern of red roses and foliage linked together with a gilded angular pattern around the circumference of the font. There is some wear to the gilding commensurate with age and use. This is not immediately noticeable but mentioned for accuracy.
This period design would set of any Victorian oil lamp to perfection.
