All surfaces have beenthoroughly cleaned, polished and waxed. The original glossy black paint displays a \"showroom shine\". This is one of the nicest Royal typewriters I\'ve ever seen from the 1930\'s. The keys and nickel plating show no wear. The decals are intact. This typewriter was handled with great care, used sparingly and has minimal signs of use. It\'s a bit of a time capsule! There is a very good condition case with minor wear to the edges, corners and surfaces, which has been waxed and has a soft shine.The case is very presentable with some tarnishing to the nickel plated lock. The original bakelite handle is in excellent condition. This is a very desirable excellent condition/near mint typewriter fully intact, ready to use with an original case. In order to lock the old case, you need to press the latch into place firmly.
The paint and nickel plated mechanicals shine to a mirror like finish, with the table wood grain reflected on the sides. Very unlikely to find one this nice from anywhere else.
