AWESOME VINTAGE RARE ORIGINAL UNIVERSITY OF OKLAHOMA SOONERS SUGAR BOWL PENNANT. It features the SUGAR BOWL TROPHY in the artwork. This pennant is an exact match for the 1st University of Oklahoma Sugar Bowl (1949), and I believe this is the most likely year this is from. I have not seen a 1950 Oklahoma Sugar Bowl pennant, but they played LSU in 1950 and the LSU pennant had the year inside of a football for the artwork. Oklahoma was also in the 1951 Sugar Bowl. Super cool SOONERS Football Fan or Alumni collectible piece of sports memorabilia. They did not play in a Sugar Bowl again until the 1970s, so this is definitely from those 1st 3 years with the most likely being 1949! Really Cool old item for that SOONERS MAN CAVE! Nice nostalgic item and a great collectible piece of Vintage Nostalgic Americana!
CONDITION: Light age, top left corner has some light brown on it, tip is lightly scuffed, but definitely overall mostly good! No tassels, but no signs it ever had them. Please see pic(s)!

A nice collectible piece!

I ship 99% of these in bubble envelopes and bend/fold them usually only once (if over 14\"). Often there is a fold somewhere already on the pennant, so I fold on the already existing fold.If it is likely to leave a fold mark I stuff tissue paper at the fold to minimize any permanent mark/wrinkle.
