This is a nice little vintage 1956 Singer featherweight portable sewing machine with case and accessories. The sewing machine is in very good condition with nice gold toned graphics on machine. It runs smoothly forwards and backwards and the foot pedal is able to vary the speed. I have not tested the tension or cleaned it in any way, though it appears quite clean. There are4 bobbins and a box with accessories and instructions. The cord looks good and appears that thecord with the plug has been replaced at some point. Light works. Of note, one latch is missing on case, it could used new rubber feet on bottom of machine and there is a somewhat musty odor to case which apparently is common to these cases. These machines are well known to be excellent for quilters and crafters and are fully serviceable in most townsshould you have problems. This machine was made on June 13, 1956 according to the serial number in Great Britain. Motor was made in Canada. Made to be used in NorthAmerica.
