VINTAGE, 1960/70`s BEAUTIFUL MINIATURE IRON TRICYCLE WITH WOOD HORSE - IMPORTED A viewer was kind enough to supply accurate information that I had not found on my research of the original listing. I am always open to corrections on my listings. I list such a variety of items, that I have to rely on research and sometimes miss important info. The following is updated........................These were sold in the `60/70`s by stores such as Ben Franklin & Hobby Lobby and imported from Indonesia. No actual date or maker`s mark........................Shows age, but not play. The horse is wood and I believe one piece or very well assembled with separate legs. The saddle is leather and the unit measures 16 1/2\" H x 14\" L x 8\" W. From what I can tell, it was never meant to turn. The handlebar grips are wood. 7 1/2\" Wheels and hair for a tail. Could have been used with a doll? Perhaps there was one originally.Regardless of origin, this is a beautiful piece and would add to any a good cleaning. Dust, thin surface rust, dirty. I did not touch it. Surface paint crackling on head, neck, on one side between mane and saddle and slightly below/right of saddle. One cotter pin to hold wheel on is the only up grade I see. Original slotted screws.Works beautifully...runs straight.
