Nice George V Hallmarked Solid Sterling Silver Pill/Snuff Box Made E J Trevitt & Sons
Description -Superb rectangular good gauge solid silver snuff box with Rounded corners,the box has a hinged lid and foliate thumb piece, the lid and base has engine turned decoration, with a central vacant rectangular cartouche on the lid, the interior richly gilded (Gold washed).
The box is fully hallmarked with the three wheatsheves for Chester assay, the lion passant indicating 925 grade solid sterling silver, the date letter \"E\" for the year 1930 and the makers mark \"T & S\" which is which is E J Trevitt & Sons.
Condition -The box is in good condition there are no dents, dinks, holes and repairs, there are just a couple of tiny dints in places, hinge is in good working order closing with no looseness and closing the box tight and securely, there is a slight spit on the housing, there is rubbing to the engine turned decoration, the interior silver- gilt is nice and bright and in excellent condition with no wear.
Dimensions & Weight -The box is 5.3cm wide x 3.3cm long, the weight is 25.8 grams.
