Presenting this fantastic and collectable Tiki Perpetual Calendar for your consideration.

This piece was hand crafted in New Zealand by the Sovereign Woodworkers Limited.

This brilliant little piece features 2 beautifully carved Tiki\'s standing guard on either side of a perpetual calendar. Their tongues are out and their eyes are made of paua shell which reflect light superbly.

The perpetual calendar in the centre consists of a series of cards that are slotted into position between 2 posts. The cards are worn on the edges consistent with age and the card that displays the months of September through to December is missing.

The wooden base features native timber inserts that showcase some of the amazing timber species that can be found in New Zealand.

The underside of the base still retains most of its paper label which I have included a picture of.

This is a brilliant piece that will definitely make a welcome addition to any Tiki, or Pacific Tribal collection.

DIMENSIONS

This perpetual calendar measures approximately 15.4cm in length, 3.7cm in width and 7.5cm in height. It weighs approximately 86g.

CONDITION

Presented in good vintage condition considering the nature of this piece.

The base has an extremely small amount of loss to the varnish right on the bottom edge along the front side. This certainly doesn\'t detract from the piece whilst on display, however it must be mentioned for accuracy.

The timber inserts to the far left and far right of the base show a small amount of grain splitting. Once again this is noticeable only upon close inspection and the piece still looks fantastic!!!

As mentioned in the description, the perpetual cards are worn around the edges and some have small tears. There is also some staining and soiling to them. As this is a vintage piece that has been used, this is to be expected. Also noted is that the card for the months of September through to December is also missing. But if you\'re like me, you\'ll absolutely love the challenge of hunting for a replacement on pieces such as this!!!

The paper label to the base also has a loss to its right side where someone has decided to try and remove the label. Luckily most of the label has been retained although slightly discoloured due to age. Being on the underside of the base, it in no way detracts from the piece whilst on display.

This really is a brilliant little piece and it displays very nicely indeed.
