Seeking a new home for a wonderful vintage \"Mid-Century Modern\" 1950\'s BIN STYLE HANGING CHROME CANISTER UNIT with FOUR INDIVIDUAL BINS. The unit is versitile, either hanging on the wall or resting on your counter top. On the back is two pear shaped nail openings that are there for WALL HANGING purposes. The two openings had at one time masking tape over them, see photos for current state. LUCITE Handles are exceptional. Fashioned of clear lucite, they have yellowed with age and beautifully fit the whole \"vintage vibe\" going on. This is AUTHENTIC VINTAGE, not a reproduction. Back of metal unit is stamped \"Made in USA.\" No Brand name or additional information could be found on the piece. FOUR BINS that can be switched around however you want to arrange them. Two larger bins at 4-3/4\" wide x 8\" x 7\". The bins of a narrower size are 3\" x 8\" x 7\". The is only ONE bin that has a hinge lid attached to the top opening. It could be assumed there may have been lids on all metal bins at one time. ENTIRE UNIT FRAME that bins go into measures: 16-1/2 x 9\" x 7\". Nice sturdy weight is over 7 lbs. for the unit itself. Four bins are individual; remove and reinsert separate from each other. Re-Arrange-ablehowever you want, four fit to your specification. Bottoms of bins have a protrusion that raises the front end to \"tilt\" back into the bin, keeping them secure in the chrome frame. FLOUR - TEA - COFFEE - SUGAR. Four regular & often used kitchen necessities for any pantry. Shipping box is oversize at 21 x 14 x 10, weighing close to 10 lbs. packed.
The condition as far as large dings, dents or mishaps, well, this one is a winner. Metal has a few pin dot \"dimple\" impressions. Some areas that look a little of \"cellulite\" impressions. There are Surface scratches, some fine and light, others are heavy, concentrated, deep, and dulling reflective qualities in the chrome. Examine the photos! Undersides that rest against the bottom cabinet unit and Sides of bins that rest against another bin side are not made of the shiny chrome on the fronts. They have some discoloration, spotting, rubbing and oxidation to the metal. I did give the cabinet a mild cleaning but I am sure it could benefit from further TLC. Made of shiny Metallic Chrome Metal on drawer BIN FRONTS and all sides of CABINET FRAME. Wonderful RETRO piece that is functional too!
