To many American woman and girls in the 1950s thru the 1970s Enid Collins was the \"MUST HAVE\"fashion accessory. Such a remarkable tale of a ranchers wife making ends meet with her designing a few handbags at her kitchen table to Neiman Marcus launching her into becoming one of the icons of the fashion industry. Timeless beauty that will always gain compliments each time enjoyed.I was raised with my Mom and Gran being fans of her bags and I too became one. I am downsizing some of my handbag collection and sharing with you this work of art. This one in particular is quite rare as it was made in Puerto Rico. Enid Collins bags were made there from 1966 to 1968 only!!This bag has sat in a pillowcase [ old school version of a handbag sleeper bag] for years. No issues at all. All jewels are intact, no odors or rips. Zipper works perfectly. Inside there is a zipper pocket and a slip pocket. I honestly don\'t think my Gran ever used it....shows no wear at all inside or out! Measures 11 x 10 x 4 with 5 1/2 double strap drop. in last picture there is one fine line ,it may be able to be buffed out with leather cleaner.that is all that I see.Perfect for gift giving this Holiday Season if you can part with it.BONUS
I am including a Collins clutch called Bandana very clean but is missing several of the small scattered stones that adorn the pattern, hard to see they were missing actually and at the top center silver flower clear center is still shiny but the top of the clear stone is missing, all can be replaced thankfully there are sellers of replacements stones on , but again it is hard to see any of these missing....see last pictures.
