After a career with Pairpoint, Libbey, and Blenko, Carl and his brother Steven established the Erickson Glass Company in 1943 in the small Ohio town of Bremen.DESCRIPTIONThis sale is for a vintage Erickson art glass smoke bubble top console bowl. If you own a copy of the reference book \"Erickson Freehand Glass\", by Ramona C. and Franklin H. Knower, this piece is pictured on page 13, row 4. The bubble top compote is round in shape with a moulded square bottom. The bottom of the bowl has been ground flat with a concave pontil .CONDITIONIn my opinion the overall condition of this vintage Erickson bowl or dish is wonderful. The glass is free of any signs of damage such as chips, cracks, and repairs. I did notice shelf wear marks on the bottom of the base which I attempted to photograph in the image below. This art glass bowl has come from a smoke free estate collection and is odor free.~SHIPPING COSTS~ I am shipping this package to you via United States Priority Mail shipping; I can also ship the package via UPS ground if so desired. I have had quite a few problems with the shipping calculator when you attempt to give both USPS and UPS shipping quotes in the same sale. What can be done is that when the sale ends the buyer can decide on whether they would like USPS or UPS shipping.
